My Story

From Debilitating Pain to Complete Freedom

I suffered from debilitating chronic knee pain for 11 years.

Pain that held me back from achieving my goals and stopped me from doing the things I love.

Pain that distracted me all day long and kept me from focusing on the important things in my life.

For a disciplined and goal-oriented guy like me, the pain was depressing. I felt a lid on my potential.

I tried absolutely every treatment possible.

I went to every single knee specialist in Miami.

They all told me the same thing, you have patellar tendonitis from playing basketball. Ice your knees after every time you play, stretch your quads and strengthen your glutes to release the tension on the knee, and do isometrics to strengthen your tendons.

I did all of these things to perfection for 10 years to no avail.

After 10 years of listening to specialists and getting nowhere, I got fed up and decided I would figure this out myself.

I went deep into research and came across a knee strengthening influencer with millions of followers online who was apparently the knee guy.

He had a program he was selling for people like me with chronic knee pain.

I was relieved and thought I finally found the solution.

The first 2 weeks were amazing. My pain actually decreased (Placebo!).

I remember thinking this was finally it.

Then right after those 2 weeks, the pain came right back to exactly how it was before.

I stayed on the program for 4 months hoping it would turn around. It didn't. I was exactly where I had started. Debilitating pain.

After a few more weeks of research, I found a top knee tendon scientist who had some extremely interesting methods for treating patellar tendonitis.

Two short 15 minute tendon strengthening sessions per day. Listen to a metronome while you do them. Track your pain out of 10 for every session. Drink collagen powder plus vitamin C before each one.

A recipe to rebuilding tendon fibers.

Like the other program, I saw progress in the first 2 weeks, and went right back to my eternal pain condition after a few months.

At this point I was mentally destroyed.

Is this pain going to be the story of my life?

Am I just cursed with an abnormal body?

Do I have to go through life trying to ignore the pain and just not be able to do the things that I love?

These questions lived in my head for a long time as recurring negative thoughts.

I was starting to believe the answer to all of them was yes.

I kept researching.

Eventually I came across a book which spoke about a connection between the mind and the body.

My first thought was "Yea, my body is messed up and now its causing my mind to be messed up too! What a connection!"

The book's premise was that chronic pain isn't caused by structural damage, it's generated by the mind.

I thought it was BS as soon as i read that.

How can my mind be causing the pain when doctors told me that MRIs showed literal tears in my tendon? I was extremely well researched and knew everything about the anatomy of the knee.

There is no way that this voodoo mind body stuff could fix me.

Fast forward one month.

I was sprinting, jumping, moving in any way that I wanted to without a single thought of my knee.

I still remember having tears of joy when I did a full squat for the first time, a position that had caused me so much pain previously.

And this time, it actually lasted!

You might be wondering how the hell this happened.

How does a guy go from hardly being able to walk up stairs to sprinting and jumping like he just won the lottery?

Here's what I discovered.

There is a profound connection between the mind and the body, the two are inextricably linked.

There are 4 main things which have an intense influence on the way your body feels:

1. The beliefs you hold about your body.

2. Your current life situations and the pressures you carry.

3. Your past and the emotions you bury.

4. Your personality — perfectionism, goodism, and the pressure you put on yourself.

Once you understand these 4 things and how they apply to you, there is a process to rewire the pain signals your brain is producing and shut them off for good.

I went from being the scientific know it all who thought his body was frail and that mind-body stuff was BS to someone who moves without fear, pushes his body harder than ever, and hasn't had a single day of knee pain since.

Not one.

The same knees. The same body, just a completely different understanding of what was actually going on.

After this profound experience, I am absolutely livid at the medical system.

It failed me for 11 years. It fails millions of other people every single day.

Enormous amounts of suffering when it comes to chronic pain conditions. Billions of dollars wasted. Countless hours of people's lives wasted.

Time and money that could be put forward towards creating a better life.

My mission is to help people see the truth and understand what is actually going on so they can heal.

For the vast majority of chronic pain sufferers, your body is not damaged.

There is a way to get back to living fully with absolutely no pain, to focus on the important things in your life, and to get back to doing what you love.

P.S. — Your doctor, PT, and chiropractor will say I'm crazy and have no idea what I'm talking about. Little do they know.

"The body is the barometer of the mind."
